matter. is an independent art and design practice by sculptor Stavros Konidaris, creating contemporary objects inspired by the forms, textures and cultural memory of the Greek landscape.
Working primarily with bronze and silver, each piece explores the relationship between material, form and place — translating elements of Greek visual culture into objects for contemporary life.

Stavros Konidaris worked as a craftsman on sculptures designed by Christoforos Sklavenitis, gaining invaluable experience and inspiration to create his own artworks. As a designer, he experiments with new, sustainable materials and techniques searching for elegance in the simplest lines and curves. Focusing on the fluidity and brightness of the material, he aims to highlight it in its purest form in the final work.
